MY LOVE FOR TRAVEL IS GENETIC​

I got the travel gene from my father, an avid sailor, who completed a solo circumnavigation of the globe on his sailboat.

I HAD AN UNUSUAL UPBRINGING

My family of 4 spent a year living on a 36 foot sailboat in the Carribbean.

COOLEST JOB I'VE HAD

I taught English at the King's School in Thailand. Fun fact: the school is located inside the palace grounds.

CRAZIEST TRAVEL STORY

I hiked to Annapurna base camp in Nepal with a friend. Along the way, we were held up by Maoist rebels. They gave us a receipt so that we didn't have to pay twice.

TRAVELER MEETS TRAVELER

My husband has Scottish parents, but was raised in South Africa. Our extended family gatherings are full of fun accents!  As a physician, his travel history includes both travel for fun and medical mission trips.

I KNOW QUITE A BIT ABOUT CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT

I have 3 boys, ages 10, 8 and 3.  I also have a masters degree in communication disorders. I use my background as a speech therapist to come up with ways to entertain my children when traveling.

PROUD TRAVEL MOMENT

My entire family learned to surf last year.   As of now, we have surfed together in 4 countries and plan to keep the trend going.
